2nd Annual Goodspeed Fly-In

Friday, August 19th, 2022 – Sunday, August 21st, 2022

Next summer, Young Pilots USA will follow up on its first ever annual fly-in event with the 2nd Annual Goodspeed Fly-In. Located at Goodspeed Airport (42B) in East Haddam, CT, the 2021 event was a day full of flying fun right on the Connecticut River, and we're already planning the 2nd edition as a bigger and better version!

About the Airport

A privately-owned, public-use airport, Goodspeed is the perfect location to host our event. Featuring a 2,100' asphalt runway and 4,500' water runway, it's shaping up to become a haven for the aviation community under new ownership by friends of our organization– which is exactly why Young Pilots USA picked it for our first major event. Pilots flying in should refer to the VFR sectional and chart supplement to learn more, and contact Young Pilots USA for further questions.

Event Details

Attendees were treated to lots of flying and community, with aircraft on display, camping, a food truck, and more. In 2022, we are seeking attendees and vendors for all of these roles, as well as live music.

The 2nd Annual Goodspeed Fly-In, scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, August 20th, 2022, is already being planned to be bigger and better, so stay on the lookout for more details!

Admission & Rates

The Goodspeed Fly-In is a totally free event, from admission to parking (for both cars and aircraft) to camping. We just ask that if you can, you register at the link at right so we get a good idea of attendance numbers for planning purposes, and when you get there, if you're able, please throw us a few bucks– it goes towards events and programs like this that bring more people into aviation, particularly young folks.
