Ethan J. Simmons serves as the President of Young Pilots USA Chapter No. 4. Originally from Pawcatuck, CT, Ethan first got involved in aviation through his father and grandfather, each accomplished aviators.

Ethan works for his father's business, Simmons Aviation, which specializes in banner towing operations in the Northeast and in Florida. Simmons comes from a family of distinguished glider and warbird pilots, and as such has flown quite the variety of airplanes. He is a high school student in Palm Coast, FL, and is a fourth generation pilot who, as he puts it, has been "flying since diapers."

 

As a pilot, Ethan holds a Private Pilot's License with ASEL, ASES, and Glider ratings. He has over 285 hours of total time and has flown 22 different types of aircraft, including gliders, tailwheel aircraft, seaplanes, turbine aircraft, and warbirds.

As an aircraft owner, Ethan currently owns and operates his 1960 Piper PA-25 Pawnee, N6264Z.

Ethan lives with his father in Palm Coast, FL during the winter and Pawcatuck, CT during the summer.
