John M. Dennis

John M. Dennis is a Member of the Young Pilots USA Executive Board and a founding member of Young Pilots USA, and, since January 2023, Director of Professional Outreach, in which capacity he is responsible for developing programs encouraging our Members in their professional endeavors.

 

Originally from Southbury, CT, Jack first got involved in aviation after a discovery flight at age 12, after which he was hooked. Throughout high school, he worked at the nearby Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OXC), cleaning airplanes and managing his flight school's hangar, while pursuing flight training.​

​

Today, Jack is an aerial survey pilot flying Cessna 310s across the nation. He is also an intern at a large private aviation management company and a flight instructor with the Oxford Flying Club, where he also serves on the safety, maintenance, and long-range planning committees. Jack graduated magna cum laude in 2022 from the Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Aviation Management with Flight.

As a pilot, Jack holds a Commercial Pilot's License with ASEL, AMEL, and Instrument ratings, with over 1,000 hours in the air, and has experience in many types, including turbine aircraft. He is also a CFI and CFII.
