Young Pilots USA is very excited to announce that its flagship national event, the Goodspeed Fly-In, hosted at Goodspeed Airport (42B) in East Haddam, CT, will return for its second annual installment in June 2022.
Scheduled for the weekend of June 24th through June 26th, this year's Goodspeed Fly-In will refocus on our Members and the relationships that Young Pilots USA helps to build. While the event will be open to the public during the day on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 (hours TBA), with the Lucky Dog Food Truck on-site and aircraft on display, as well as representatives of the airport and Young Pilots USA promoting the event and their organizations, the full weekend event will seek to create an encouraging social environment between Young Pilots USA Members and some of our invited guests.
As with last year's event, we fully expect great attendance by many people with a passion for aviation, some of whom will bring interesting and historically significant aircraft and stories to share. We hope that this event continues to grow over the years, both in the number of people and the number of aircraft involved, and to increase our impact both on the local community and on youth in aviation on the whole.
Admission will be free for all involved, and those who may be eligible for Young Pilots USA Membership (typically aged 13-25) are encouraged to join as there will be other benefits for Members in attendance. Admission outside of the general public open house hours on Saturday the 25th is restricted to Young Pilots USA Members, fly-in camping guests, and the invited guests of Young Pilots USA, for logistical reasons. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces and even more new ones at the 2022 Goodspeed Fly-In!
